Free help to farmers in Hampden and Hampshire Counties!
The Hampden Hampshire Conservation District is a non-profit that is run by a board of volunteers made up of farmers and those who are passionate about the local food system. There are also two employees who do outreach in the community. We work with NRCS, a division of the US Dept of Agriculture, as well as with other local organizations.
The HHCD is currently seeking farmers or landowners involved in farming, ranching, producing maple syrup and/or forestry who may need help with the following:
- Technical assistance
- Information about NRCS and their programs
- Registration and conservation plans done through NRCS
- Finding grants through MDAR or other sources
- General guidance
All of our assistance is FREE to those residing within the counties of Hampden and Hampshire and we are here to help! If we find that our services do not meet your needs, we will try and point you in the right direction.
