For the last 4 years, Lavery Greenfield (age 10) and a band of fierce, young ladies have taken October and November to raise awareness for food insecurity in the Pioneer Valley by asking for donations of jars of peanut butter and jelly.
Last year, she and her friends raised 1,000 lbs of pb&j for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. You can support their continuing efforts to feed our food insecure neighbors this year by making a donation to their special food drive.
The girls will be accepting donations through November 14 at the following locations:
Amherst:
