8×8 Fundraiser at MAP Space

Easthampton City Arts is hosting a first-of-its-kind fundraiser art exhibition at MAP space in Eastworks this coming November & December. While we normally do not ask artists to provide work free of charge, we are reaching out to the art-making members of our community to consider making an in-kind donation of one or more artworks that measure 8 inches x 8 inches, to support ECA.
What makes this exhibition unique is that it is designed to encourage people who might not normally purchase art to make quality purchases based on art they connect with, and for a relatively affordable price.
All artworks, by all artists, will be priced at $44. In addition, we are asking that the works be signed on the backs only, as an effort to create equity among artists within the show and to create a unique experience where patrons, viewers, and artists can interact with the works from a different perspective.

IMPORTANT DATES:
Drop off work to MAP Space in Eastworks Oct 7 – Nov 5:
Thursdays 12-5
Fridays 12-6
Saturdays 12-6
Sundays 11-3
OPENING RECEPTION – Thursday Nov 9, 5-8pm

ECA has a long-standing record of compensating artists for the work you all make and share – in fact, it is one of our organization’s core values. We recognize we’ve changed the rules for this special occasion – and that it’s a tall ask. We greatly appreciate your consideration.
For those of you who would like to participate:
All works must be 8 inches x 8 inches
Sculptures must be 8 inches x 8 inches x 8 inches (or smaller)
Works should be ready to hang in the gallery
Works do not need to be framed
Works should be signed on the backs only
Works on paper can be hung with magnets
All artworks must be delivered to MAP space by Nov 5
All contributing artists will be included in the show’s description
All artworks that meet the above criteria will be accepted and greatly appreciated! Thank you again for your consideration!
