The small but mighty Charlemont Farmers’ Market celebrates our Fifth Anniversary this year by actively recruiting new vendors for the 2014 season. Open Saturday from 10–2 beginning in early June on a prime, highly visible Mohawk Trail location.
We have seen an astounding increase in traffic in the last couple years due to the expansion of local recreational opportunities such as zip-lining, kayaking, and soon alpine sliding. These attractions draw many folks from Eastern Mass and Connecticut who are eager to bring a taste of Western Mass back home with them. We are also in the early stages of negotiations to begin an afternoon market as well if interest is sustained.
Beef, pork, fruit, cheese, starts, flowers, and more are all sought for inclusion in this year’s offerings. A very limited selection of fine crafts of a distinctly local nature will be considered.
